Delivering Healthtech Innovation with Vera Tice: HTVNC17 Speaker Spotlight

The HealthTech Venture Network proudly welcomes Vera Tice, MSEE, BEECE, to our 2017 Conference line up, as speaker on our “Female Leadership Benefiting Tech Innovation” panel. Held from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., this moderated round-table discussion seeks to dive into how technology innovation benefits from female leadership.

Tice is a senior executive and global advisor with over 20 years experience in building, leading, advising and driving change and results in businesses and technical/research organizations, exploring and bringing health technology innovations from concept to market.

She has multi-functional, R&D and product development expertise from working in startups and Global 500 companies in the healthcare, medical device and mobile telecommunications industries.

Tice most recently served as the founding managing director of the Healthcare Delivery Institute (HDI), the first university-wide multidisciplinary healthcare research and innovation institute at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Prior to WPI, Tice served as the COO and VP of product development for Enmar Health, a digital health technology company developing a technology platform and connected health solutions to help patients/consumers manage their healthcare.

Prior to that, she served as senior director of technical operations and senior director of strategic initiatives for HealthWyse, a healthcare IT company developing electronic medical record solutions for home health, hospice and private duty care. Before joining HealthWyse, she held several senior management and engineering leadership positions at Hewlett-Packard’s Medical Products Group (now Philips) and Nokia.

Tice has also served as a global industry, strategic and technical advisor to private and public sector organizations focused on advancing healthcare and improving human health. She earned a Master of Science in electrical/computer engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Engineering with high honor in electrical/computer engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology.
