Dr. Alisa Niksch to speak at HTVNC17

Healthtech Advancement from the Heart with Dr. Alisa L. Niksch: HTVNC17 Speaker Spotlight

The HealthTech Venture Network is proud to welcome Dr. Alisa L. Niksch of Genetesis to our 2017 Conference lineup, as a speaker on our “Behind-the-Grind with Successful Female Healthtech Entrepreneurs” panel. Held from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., this moderated panel will inspire new and seasoned entrepreneurs, share stories from the front lines and tap into the wisdom the speakers have acquired on their journeys thus far.

Dr. Niksch is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Genetesis, LLC – a cardiac diagnostics company pairing a novel medical device acquiring cardiac magnetic field data with a machine learning platform to identify acute coronary events.

She is also Director of Pediatric Electrophysiology and the Pediatric Cardiopulmonary Exercise Lab at Tufts University Medical Center in Boston, performing interventional procedures to treat pediatric arrhythmias. Dr. Niksch has performed research or served on the advisory boards of several groundbreaking digital health and medical device startups, contributing ideas for content, algorithm workflow and hardware design concepts to companies like VerbalCare, Sproutling, AliveCor and Genetesis. She has continued her mentorship of digital health companies at startup incubator PULSE at MassChallenge. She has been part of the Physician Task Force at HIMSS, and was the lead author on executive briefs focusing on remote patient monitoring and the challenges of implementing mobile health technologies. In February 2016, her chapter on “Connecting Implantable Devices – The New Iteration of Wearables” was featured in the book Heath-E Everything: Wearables and the Internet of Things for Health.

She is a proud graduate of the University of Virginia School of Medicine, and continued her training at Columbia University, Stanford and UCSF Medical Centers.
