Simmons is Founder and CEO of Curative Orthopaedics, an early stage company that designs orthopaedic wear for nighttime rest and recovery.
Simmons founded her company in 2014 while in business school at MIT Sloan School of Management, where she focused her studies on healthcare innovation.
Before attending MIT, Simmons received her BFA and Masters of Product Development from Carnegie Mellon University, where she established her initial interest and training in product development and design. Her industry experience includes working on product development and innovation initiatives for organizations like GlaxoSmithKline, Nissan Global and Comcast Cable.
Always driven to innovate, Simmons was granted her first patent at the age of 22 and has been inventing ever since. Currently, Simmons has chosen to dedicate her career to the healthcare industry and wishes to make Curative Orthopaedics the leader of the orthopaedic sleep space, by designing an entire product line for comfortable rest and recovery.
