The HealthTech Venture Network is proud to welcome Kezia Fitzgerald of CareAline Products to our 2017 Conference line up, as a speaker on the “Behind-the-Grind with Successful Female Healthtech Entrepreneurs” panel. Held from 1:30 p.m. – 2:30 p.m., this moderated panel will inspire new and seasoned entrepreneurs, share stories from the front lines and tap into the wisdom the speakers have acquired on their journeys thus far.
Fitzgerald is co-founder and CEO of CareAline Products, offering empathy and solution through personal experience, to those she’s helping daily.
Fitzgerald is a young adult cancer fighter, currently in her second battle with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. She holds a BFA in photography from Columbia College Chicago. Fitzgerald is, first and foremost, a mother of two: to daughter, Saoirse – who died from neuroblastoma in 2011 at 18 months old – and son, Lochlan – who is an energetic (and healthy!) four year old.
Fitzgerald has always been a problem solver, creating and innovating solutions to many every day obstacles. She innovated and designed the CareAline® Sleeve and Wrap while Saoirse was in treatment at Children’s Hospital Boston. After Saoirse’s death, Fitzgerald and her husband Mike started CareAline® Products, LLC to make those sleeves and wraps, which had helped their daughter get through treatment more safely and comfortably, available to all children and adults with PICC and Central Lines. CareAline® Sleeves and Wraps are used and loved by thousands of patients world wide, and Fitzgerald continues to innovate new products and designs to improve quality of life for patients and caregivers.
She hopes that some day, no other parent will have to endure the struggles she has, and that children will be free from toxic treatments and lifelong medical complications.
Register now for a day of innovation and progressive healthtech discussion with a spotlight on female entrepreneurs in the industry. Early Bird tickets available until September 1st and General Admission on sale until October 2nd.
