Hughes, Ph.D., MBA, of Hughes BioPharma Advisers LLC to our 2017 Conference line up, as a speaker on our “Female Leadership Benefiting Tech Innovation” panel. Held from 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., this moderated round-table discussion seeks to dive into how technology innovation benefits from female leadership.
Dr. Hughes’ latest venture is revolutionizing healthcare via the mission-focused action tank, the Total Health Consortium – an alliance hub.
Dr. Hughes is a strategy and management consultant for pharmaceutical/biotech firms – via her firm Hughes BioPharma Advisers – and a serial entrepreneur. In 2013, she founded award-winning digital health startup, AdapTac Games.
With over a 20 year career in healthcare, she worked with a third of the top 25 global pharma plus biotech firms. Her successes include managing a $10 million global clinical trial regulatory project, launching a division with $4 million revenue for a VC-backed firm, helping a biotech gain approval for its first marketed product and advising a global pharma firm on marketing & messaging strategy for an anti-viral.
She holds a Ph.D. in anatomy and neurobiology attained at Boston University School of Medicine and MBA with honors focused on technology innovation from Kelley School of Business, Indiana University.
Her strategy, commercialization advice and research appears in Forbes, Huffington Post, Competitive Intelligence Magazine, the Journal of Neuroscience and others. She advocates for and mentors women in STEM and entrepreneurship, acting as a unit advisor for the first U.S./co-ed/STEM Boy Scout troop, and as a delegate at White House Working Families Business Schools Convening, 2015.
