What’s the Deal with ELEVATE?

The HealthTech Venture Network Conference (HTVNC) will feature the ELEVATE pitch competition at their annual Conference in Boston this September.

ELEVATE is a “Shark Tank” style pitch session where several healthtech startups present their products, organizations and ideas to a panel of physicians, entrepreneurs and executives in the healthtech space for the chance to win a cash prize of $1,000 and $4,000 worth of consulting support in business development and go-to-market strategization for their startup. All participants will also receive professional feedback and exposure to healthtech investors and entrepreneurs.

KICVentures, a portfolio management firm in the healthtech sector, will partner with HealthTech Venture Network to evaluate the ELEVATE pitches and invest in viable start-up ventures.

“This year, we are looking to invest in start-ups and ideas that add to the intelligent ecosystem of healthcare technologies that we’re creating,” said KICVentures’s CEO, Dr. Kingsley Chin.

Nicholas Powley, a founder of CoCreateX, will be attending ELEVATE with some of his colleagues and mentored startups. ELEVATE will be an opportunity for these startups in the Twin Cities to gain exposure in Boston’s healthtech industry and vice versa. “We are so excited to connect the startup communities of Minnesota and Massachusetts,” Powley says. “May our cultures mix to improve the climate for innovation in both our regions!”

The HTVN Conference will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19 at the Boston Marriott Copley Place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Conference also includes a networking event, “Conversation & Cocktails,” from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. the preceding night at the Marriott’s Champion’s Bar. HTVNC is now accepting applications for exhibiting. Visit htvnc.com for more information about ELEVATE or to purchase passes.
